Staff Nurse - Primary Care Float Pool

About the Role

This position involves providing nursing care and staff guidance for clinical issues under physician supervision. The nurse supports efficient operations, promotes quality pediatric care, mentors new staff, and participates in staff education and evaluations. They assess patient needs, advocate for children's health, and facilitate discharge planning, ensuring a positive experience for families and the public.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure. Experience in pediatric ambulatory care and electronic medical records (preferably EPIC) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and staff guidance for clinical issues under physician supervision.
• Support efficient operations and promote quality pediatric care.
• Mentor new staff and participate in staff education and evaluations.
• Assess patient needs and advocate for children's health.
• Facilitate discharge planning to ensure a positive experience for families and the public.

Requirements

• BSN degree required; those without must obtain within 5 years.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Active Ohio RN license with Multistate License within 90 days if applicable.
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office; EMR experience preferred (EPIC advantageous).
