Staff Nurse - Primary Care Float Pool

Role Summary

This position involves providing nursing care and clinical guidance under physician supervision, supporting efficient operations, and delivering high‑quality pediatric care with a focus on excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Mentor and precept new staff members, assess clinical competencies, and participate in staff evaluations.
• Conduct patient assessments, advocate for children’s health, and promote positive interactions with families and the public.
• Provide clinical consultations, assist with discharge planning, and support staff education on clinical issues.
• Ensure compliance with hospital bylaws and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• BSN required; candidates without a degree must obtain it within 5 years.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Valid RN license in Ohio; multistate license required within 90 days for certain services.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience preferred; experience in pediatric ambulatory care is a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with EMR systems such as EPIC is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and collaborate across organizational levels.
