Staff Nurse - Outpatient Surgery Clinic

About the role

The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care based on biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences principles.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct patient-centered care for individuals or groups within the scope of practice.
• Deliver physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety care across all age groups.
• Perform leadership, professional duties, and support quality improvement and safety initiatives.
• Participate in staff education, precepting, and mentoring.
• Apply evidence-based practices and systems-based practice duties.
• Utilize informatics and technology skills; adapt to temporary assignments across the organization based on patient needs.
• Support collaborative efforts with providers to ensure efficient operation, high-quality care, and excellent customer service.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum of one year of healthcare experience; wound care and ostomy experience preferred.
• Ostomy certification preferred; RN license in Ohio (Multistate License required within 90 days).
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or obtained within five years of hire.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with electronic medical records (preferred).
• Ability to work under pressure, collaborate effectively, and work well with various organizational levels.
