About the role
The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care based on principles from biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct patient-centered care within their scope of practice.
- Deliver care addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs across all ages and developmental stages.
- Perform leadership, mentorship, and professional duties, including staff education and precepting.
- Support quality improvement, safety initiatives, and evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with provider staff to ensure efficient operations and high-quality, family-centered care using a team approach.
- Utilize informatics and technology systems, and adapt to temporary assignments across the organization based on patient needs.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications & Skills
- BSN or obtain within 5 years of hire; current RN license in Ohio.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications may be needed.
- Minimum one year of healthcare experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills; ability to work under pressure.
- Experience with electronic medical records (e.g., EPIC) and Microsoft Office preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership, guidance, and teamwork skills essential.
