About the role
The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care based on principles from biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct patient care with a focus on family-centered approach.
- Deliver comprehensive care addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs across all ages and developmental stages.
- Perform leadership, professional duties, and patient-centered care tasks.
- Engage in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and staff education, including mentoring new employees.
- Apply evidence-based practices and support collaborative, team-oriented, and patient-focused service delivery.
- Utilize informatics and technology systems effectively.
- Assist in systems-based practice activities and adapt to temporary assignments as needed.
- Perform other duties related to the role.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and collaborate across organizational levels.
- Experience in healthcare and proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic medical records preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and guide staff, with excellent interpersonal skills.
Education & Certification
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or completion within five years of hire.
- Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Ohio.
- Minimum of one year healthcare experience preferred.
