About the Role
The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care based on principles from biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct patient-centered care for individuals or groups within their scope of practice.
- Deliver care addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs of patients of all ages.
- Perform leadership, professional duties, and quality improvement tasks.
- Contribute to staff education, precepting, and mentoring.
- Support provider staff, promote collaboration, and ensure efficient operation and high-quality, compassionate care.
- Engage in evidence-based practices, systems-based practice, informatics, and technology duties.
- Be adaptable to temporary assignments across various hospital areas based on patient needs.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or within 5 years of hire.
- Current RN licensure in Ohio.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience, preferably in surgery.
- Onsite work environment.
- May be assigned to different hospital areas as needed.
Skills
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with electronic medical records (e.g., EPIC) and Microsoft Office preferred.
- Ability to work well under pressure and collaborate effectively within a team.
