Staff Nurse - Outpatient Surgery

About the Role

The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care based on principles from biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct patient-centered care for individuals or groups within their scope of practice.
• Deliver care addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs of patients of all ages.
• Perform leadership, professional duties, and quality improvement tasks.
• Contribute to staff education, precepting, and mentoring.
• Support provider staff, promote collaboration, and ensure efficient operation and high-quality, compassionate care.
• Engage in evidence-based practices, systems-based practice, informatics, and technology duties.
• Be adaptable to temporary assignments across various hospital areas based on patient needs.
• Other duties as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or within 5 years of hire.
• Current RN licensure in Ohio.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
• Minimum of one year of relevant experience, preferably in surgery.
• Onsite work environment.
• May be assigned to different hospital areas as needed.

Skills

• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with electronic medical records (e.g., EPIC) and Microsoft Office preferred.
• Ability to work well under pressure and collaborate effectively within a team.
