Staff Nurse - Outpatient Surgery Clinic

About the role

The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care, demonstrating knowledge in biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences. They focus on family-centered care, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care within their scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care for individuals and groups of all ages.
• Lead and perform professional nursing duties, including quality improvement and safety initiatives.
• Educate and mentor staff, supporting clinical development and evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure efficient operations and high-quality, compassionate care.
• Utilize informatics and technology systems effectively.
• Support systems-based practices and participate in continuous improvement activities.
• May be temporarily assigned to different areas based on patient needs.

Requirements

• Wound care and ostomy experience preferred; ostomy certification is a plus.
• Demonstrates leadership, guidance, and motivation skills.
• Flexibility to work across various departments as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• BSN or equivalent, with certification in Basic Life Support.
• Valid RN license in Ohio, with Multistate License required for certain roles.
• Minimum one year of healthcare experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.
• Experience with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office preferred.
