About the role
The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care, utilizing knowledge from biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct patient-centered care for individuals or groups within their scope of practice.
- Deliver holistic care addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs across all age groups.
- Exhibit leadership, perform professional duties, and support quality improvement and safety initiatives.
- Contribute to staff education, serve as a preceptor or mentor, and promote evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with providers to ensure efficient operation, high-quality care, and excellent customer service, especially for pediatric patients.
- Engage in systems-based practice, informatics, and technology duties, with flexibility to be assigned across various hospital areas as needed.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and work collaboratively within a team.
- Experience in healthcare and familiarity with electronic medical records (preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Education & Licensing
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required or obtained within 5 years of hire.
- Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
- Valid RN license in Ohio.
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience (preferred).
