About the Role
The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care based on principles from biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences. They assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct patient-centered care for individuals or groups within their scope of practice. The role involves delivering physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety support across all ages and developmental stages.
Responsibilities
- Perform leadership, professional duties, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Facilitate staff education, precept new employees, and mentor clinical staff.
- Support provider staff and promote collaboration to ensure efficient operations, quality care, and excellent customer service, especially for pediatric patients.
- Utilize evidence-based practices, systems-based approaches, informatics, and technology tools.
- Adapt to temporary assignments across the organization based on patient needs.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or obtained within five years of hire.
- Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio.
- Minimum one year of healthcare experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and electronic medical records (preferred).
Schedule
Part-time role with 24 hours/week, primarily overnight shifts.
Work Environment
Onsite work environment.
