About the role
The staff nurse is a professional nurse who, with minimal supervision, is responsible for providing nursing care to patients. Patient care includes assessment, interventions, and reassessments of the patient. The nurse is also responsible for planning, implementing, educating, and evaluating care of patients/caregivers.
Responsibilities
- Uses medical equipment, patient records, reports, and computer.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be able to use medical equipment, patient records, reports, and computer.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current RN license in the State of Alabama.
- Credentials with Equivalent Qualifications: Registered Nurse AL Single State or any of the following equivalent qualifications below:
- Registered Nurse AL NLC Multi State
- Non-AL NLC Multi State
- Education with Equivalent Qualifications: Associate of Science Nursing in Nursing
- Experience With Equivalent Qualifications: The Burn Center is a six bed unit that provides acute, critical, ambulatory and rehabilitative care for pediatric burn patients. Trauma and surgery patients that do not present with an infection are also accepted.
