About the role
Providing specialized nursing care based on biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct patient-centered care for individuals or groups within scope of practice.
- Deliver care addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs across all ages and developmental stages.
- Perform leadership, professional duties, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to staff education, precepting, and mentoring clinical team members.
- Engage in evidence-based practice and systems-based activities.
- Support providers and promote collaboration to ensure efficient operation, high-quality care, and excellent customer service, particularly for pediatric patients.
- Utilize informatics and technology tools effectively.
- Participate in temporary assignments across various units as needed.
Qualifications
- BSN required or must be obtained within 5 years of hire.
- Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
- Active RN license in the state of Ohio.
- Minimum of one year of healthcare experience preferred.
Skills
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience working collaboratively within healthcare teams and managing multiple priorities under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with electronic medical records (e.g., EPIC) preferred.
- Ability to provide guidance, motivate staff, and deliver excellent interpersonal service.
