Staff Nurse - Burn Unit

About the role

The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care based on principles from biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct patient care with a focus on family-centered approach.
• Deliver physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety care for patients of all ages and developmental stages.
• Perform leadership, professional duties, and patient-centered care tasks.
• Engage in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and evidence-based practices.
• Support staff education, precept new employees, and serve as a mentor to clinical staff.
• Collaborate with provider staff to ensure efficient operations, high-quality care, and excellent customer service.
• Utilize informatics and technology systems; adapt to temporary assignments across the organization based on patient needs.
• Perform system-based practice duties and other related responsibilities as required.

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and work effectively within a team.
• Experience in healthcare and proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with electronic medical records preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to guide and motivate staff, ensuring teamwork and quality service.

Education & Licensing

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required or to be obtained within 5 years.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Valid RN license in the state of Ohio.
• Minimum of one year of relevant experience preferred.
