About the role

Provide safe, compassionate nursing care independently, utilizing the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the Infant Special Care Unit (ISCU). Guide unlicensed staff, collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal outcomes, and promote safety and high-quality patient experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
  • Supervise and guide unlicensed staff members.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Promote safety and high-quality patient experiences.
  • Float to other units when needed.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an NLN-accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
  • Current Illinois nursing license.
  • BLS/CPR certification.
  • At least 1 year of acute or ISCU nursing experience (NICU/ISCU experience preferred).

Schedule

Full-time position with shift hours from 1900–0730, including weekend rotation.
