About the role
The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care based on principles from biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.
Responsibilities
- Assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and directing family-centered care for individuals or groups of patients within their scope of practice.
- Delivering comprehensive care addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs across all age groups.
- Exercising leadership, professional duties, and promoting quality improvement and safety.
- Mentoring and precepting new staff, supporting clinical staff development.
- Applying evidence-based practices, supporting team collaboration, and ensuring efficient, high-quality patient care.
- Utilizing informatics and technology systems effectively.
- Participating in system-based practices and other duties as required, with potential temporary assignments across the organization.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize tasks, and work collaboratively across organizational levels.
- Experience with healthcare settings, Microsoft Office, and electronic medical records (preferred).
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience (preferred).
- Current Ohio RN license, BLS certification, and a BSN (or obtaining within 5 years) are required.
