About the Role
Under the general direction of the Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant II will support the Accounting, Finance, and Operations team with a degree of independence. This role involves performing accounting and financial activities, providing management with financial information, and acting as a liaison with Managers and Executives to improve accounting procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Reconcile Revenue and COGS for different divisions monthly.
- Provide variance reports for Revenue, COGS, and SG&A to the Accounting Manager and assist in research and resolution.
- Review general & administrative costs for accuracy and research variances.
- Respond to correspondence and inquiries related to sales tax.
- Assist in gathering documentation for the annual financial audit.
- Contribute to the analysis and preparation of ad-hoc reports for management.
- Participate in the close process by preparing month-end journal entries.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 3 years of previous experience in an accounting role.
- Clear and thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Strong communication, written, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Knowledge of NetSuite and PowerBI.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Pay
Estimated pay range: $72,000 USD - $88,000 USD. Actual salary will be based on factors such as location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure, certification, and business needs. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions.
