Responsibilities

• Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of Feeding Tampa Bay
• Under direction of Controller/Director of Finance, individual will effectively recommend and maintain accounting practices to ensure accurate and reliable data necessary for business operations
• Maintain a system of financial accounting, reporting, and record keeping in accordance to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Government Accounting Standards Board (GASB) for all grant and designated funding
• General Finance
• Communicate with staff and outside contacts to provide financial and accounting information and support as needed
• Cross train on other Finance functions
• Flexibility to take on new tasks as organizational needs change
• Complies with all company safety, personnel and operational policies and procedures
• Complies with work schedule to ensure effective operations of department
• Contributes positively as a member of a productive and cooperative team
• Ad Hoc reporting for management and other internal users
• Payroll
• Implement, maintain and process payroll to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, paid time off and holidays, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates
• Benefits administration including: updates to payroll deductions to tie to benefits reports/invoicing, enroll team members eligible for HSA accounts, process bi-weekly contributions, and audit benefit enrollment
• Attends all onboarding sessions in-person to introduce our payroll system and provide information and training materials for new hires and new managers
• Prepares and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions
• Ensure reporting of Form 941
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
• Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors
• Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures
