SSVF Case Manager Supervisor Dallas/Fort Worth

Skills / Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field; Master’s degree preferred
• At least 2 years of relevant supervisory experience
• Experience working with people experiencing homelessness and/or veterans preferred
• Reliable transportation, current Texas driver’s license, and evidence of auto liability insurance

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision to SSVF Case Managers
• Offer direction and support to case managers serving Veteran clients
• Train and ensure adherence to SSVF grant procedures and guidelines
• Lead case staffings, case conferencing, and other staff meetings
• Resolve client questions or issues directly
• Approve check requests and confirm spending eligibility under the grant
• Encourage a cohesive team mentality and partnership among staff
• Work with Assistant Director and Director of Housing Services to review and improve policies and procedures

• Ability to assign tasks, oversee workflow, and provide guidance and feedback
• Committed to continuous training of staff
• Committed to modeling professional behavior, work ethic, and values of the agency
• Skill in formulating client housing stability goals and objectives
• Ability to write clear, concise case notes
• Ability to work one on one or with large groups
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of substance use disorders and mental health issues
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Knowledge of community resources and ability to network
• Understanding of and willingness to practice trauma informed care
• Ability to travel within the metroplex area, as well as other locations, for trainings, conferences, and meetings
