About the role
The Sr. Technical Program Manager, Personal Information & Identity Management works within the Joining Amazon Technology team, focusing on innovative solutions to onboard 2.8 million Amazon new workers annually. The role involves managing end-to-end delivery, guiding architecture and technical design, making trade-offs, and mentoring TPMs.
Responsibilities
- Invent and bring new technology solutions to life, taking ideas from concept to delivery and production launch with dependencies spanning 10+ organizations.
- Own end-to-end delivery using project management and Agile methodology skills, tracking program delivery. Drive stakeholders and teams to decisions in ambiguous situations, including resource negotiation and priority alignment. Own communication to senior leadership.
- Make trade-offs by understanding diverse stakeholder perspectives and resolving differences. Ensure software is shipped without compromising customer experience, usability, or business impact.
- Mentor other TPMs across the organization.
Requirements
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
