About the role
The Sr. Systems Engineer - ELM is responsible for configuring, deploying, and maintaining IBM Enterprise Lifecycle Management (ELM) in a cloud-based environment. This role requires a strong background in systems engineering, software configuration management, and expertise in CI/CD pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Configure, deploy, and maintain IBM ELM applications using CI/CD pipelines in a cloud-based environment.
- Expertly configure, deploy, and maintain applications as AaC through CI/CD.
- Demonstrate solid engineering rigor and excellent troubleshooting and solutioning skills.
- Work with relational and/or non-relational databases, including Cassandra, MySQL, and MongoDB.
- Communicate complex issues clearly and concisely, and develop comprehensive test plans for unit and user system testing.
- Develop integration interfaces using Python, PowerShell, and Groovy.
- Experience with DevOps tooling such as Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, and GitLab.
- Lead and oversee a total system perspective, including technical understanding of relationships, dependencies, and requirements of cloud services, infrastructure, and security domains.
- Experience with various cloud platforms (Azure, Google, Oracle, IBM).
- Familiarity with containerized development environments (Rancher, Kubernetes).
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a STEM field.
- DoDD 8140 requirements (Security+ CE Certification).
- Specific skills including configuration, deployment, and maintenance of IBM ELM, CI/CD, troubleshooting, and database knowledge.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with workflow, case, or ticketing systems, such as ServiceNow.
- Knowledge of IDAM requirements and technologies.
- Experience with comprehensive test planning and API Gateway management.
- Experience with virtualized applications, application streaming, and layering techniques.
Qualifications
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Experience with cloud solution optimization.
- Experience with cloud-based visualization tools (Grafana, Splunk).
- Experience with ServiceNow.
- Experience with COTS applications/tools, TeamWork Cloud, Cameo, and related tools.
- Experience with API Gateways and catalogs in a cloud-based environment.
- Experience with cross-domain capabilities.
- Experience with Azure, Google, Oracle, and IBM cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with containerized development environments (Rancher, Kubernetes).
