About the role
Responsible for managing and maintaining high-performance computing systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor HPC clusters, including hardware and software components.
- Develop and implement system administration policies and procedures.
- Provide technical support to users and troubleshoot system issues.
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery testing.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in system administration, preferably in HPC environments.
- Proficient in Linux/Unix administration, scripting, and automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Experience with HPC cluster management tools such as Slurm, Torque, or LSF.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or MPI.
- Hands-on experience with storage solutions like Lustre, GlusterFS, or Ceph.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Skills
- Linux/Unix administration.
- System monitoring and logging tools.
- Automation and scripting languages (Python, Bash).
- Database administration (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Network administration and security best practices.

Pay
$80,000 - $100,000 annually based on experience.
Schedule
