Sr. Substation Drafter

What You Will Do

GFT is seeking an Sr. Substation Drafter to join our power group in the St. Louis, MO office. This is a hybrid position.

What You’ll Be Challenged To Do

• Prepares plans and details with limited complexity in support of broader engineering activities
• Preparing schematic and wiring layouts
• Working with our engineer to incorporate redline markups
• Works within a design group to complete projects

Education | Experience

• Associated Degree or pursuing a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• 8+ years of related experience in the substation or power industry
• Demonstrated interest in substation or power engineering through applied academic coursework, internships, or past experiences
• Working knowledge of CADD Software
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Good written and verbal communications skills

Pay

The salary range for this role is $35.00 - $42.00 per hour. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
