Substation Drafter
What You Will Do
GFT is seeking an Substation Drafter to join our power group in the St. Louis, MO office. This is an onsite position, requiring 5 days per week in office.

What You’ll Be Challenged To Do
- Prepares plans and details with limited complexity in support of broader engineering activities
- Preparing schematic and wiring layouts
- Working with our engineers to incorporate redline markups
- Works within a design group to complete projects
Education | Experience
- Associated Degree or pursuing a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 2+ years of related experience in the substation or power industry
- Demonstrated interest in substation or power engineering through applied academic coursework, internships, or past experiences
- Working knowledge of CADD Software
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Good written and verbal communications skills
Pay
The salary range for this role is $28.00 - $35.00 per hour. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
