This role supports the Production Operation Systems and Technology team as the system integration lead for Production Operations Systems & Technologies. The preferred candidate will be an individual with a bias for action, strategic thinking, data analysis, problem-solving, exceptional customer focus, communications, and a sound foundation in Material Planning and Production Control practices. The qualified applicant will have a working knowledge and understanding of Manufacturing Engineering and the digital tools required for manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop cost/risk benefit summaries and recommendations for leadership.
  • Utilize process improvement methodology (e.g., value stream mapping, employee engagement techniques, flow reduction).
  • Manage cost through Earned Value and milestone payments.
  • Perform data analysis and/or data mining.
  • Engage and collaborate with programs and functional organizations to interpret manufacturing facilitation and scheduling requirements.
  • Combine material flow management expertise with outstanding information knowledge.
  • Develop and manage achievable production schedules for an entire factory servicing multiple businesses.
  • Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure timely resolution.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and work with members from different technical backgrounds.
  • Support out-of-service system testing with a flexible work schedule.

Requirements

  • 14 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s in Science STEM degree; 12 years with a Master’s; 10 years with a PhD.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain an interim Secret Security clearance pre-start and a final Secret clearance post-start.
  • Strong experience using software for manufacturing (ERP, MES, PLM/PDM).
  • 4+ years of experience leading teams for software and/or process solutions.
  • 4+ years developing proposals for executive leadership and calculating ROI.
  • Expert-level skills in system architecture development.
  • Experience deploying new digital tools and technologies.
  • Strong experience in Manufacturing Systems fundamentals, MBOMs, OBOM, Work Instructions, and manufacturing flows.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing flows and their interface with shop floor and Global Supply Chain.
  • Understanding of schedule waterfall builds with setbacks to independent demands.
  • Experience with financial aspects of the business and cost management.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Highly motivated self-starter, detail and quality oriented, able to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Siemens CPLM, SAP S/4 Hana, SAP PEO, and SmartMES.
  • Experience proposing and deploying new digital tools and capabilities.
  • Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Excel, Project, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience in system integration testing and writing functional specifications.
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting.

Pay

Primary level salary range: $166,500.00 - $249,700.00. The above salary range represents a general guideline; Northrop Grumman considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions and company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.

Schedule

This position follows a 9/80 work schedule, allowing employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
