Duties
- Analyzing and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to prepare routings outlining optimal manufacturing instructions, procedures, tooling, and standard costs.
- Performing cost estimates in coordination with purchasing and suppliers, accounting for component, material, and process lead times.
- Creating and maintaining standard cost data files, Welding WPS/PQR files, ISO documentation, and other facility records.
- Developing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs), including the use of Vuforia AR software for visual instructions.
- Supporting the implementation of new technologies including vision systems like Artemis and AI tools such as Leela AI.
- Maintaining facility and work cell layout drawings in AutoCAD, incorporating pallet racking, wire decking, and guarding per safety and weight capacity requirements.
- Optimizing CNC programs using Creo and Vericut simulation software.
- Preparing capital and expense proposals, cost analysis, equipment specifications, appropriation requests, and plant layout modifications aligned with business objectives and VBLSS projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology Management, or a related field, plus four (4) years of related work experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or a related occupation.
- Four (4) years of experience with/in:
- manufacturing environments involving machining (CNC programming and Simulation), assembly, welding, lean manufacturing, detail knowledge of lean tools (Standard work, Single Minute Exchange of Dies, and Operator Balance Chart), automation, and 3D printing;
- developing testing equipment, testing fixtures and reading Piping and Instrumentation Diagram;
- rotating equipment, pump hydraulics, mechanics, and performance testing;
- training engineers and operators in technical and software domains;
- lean methodologies implementation, Six Sigma, and 5S practices;
- 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks and CREO, and 2D/3D layout tools such as AutoCAD;
- PLC logic, CNC programming, and manufacturing software;
- Warehousing and shipping modules in LN Infor.
Qualifications
- Up to 20% regional and domestic travel required.

- Experience with manufacturing environments involving machining (CNC programming and Simulation), assembly, welding, lean manufacturing, detail knowledge of lean tools (Standard work, Single Minute Exchange of Dies, and Operator Balance Chart), automation, and 3D printing.
- Experience with developing testing equipment, testing fixtures and reading Piping and Instrumentation Diagram.
- Experience with rotating equipment, pump hydraulics, mechanics, and performance testing.
- Experience with training engineers and operators in technical and software domains.
- Experience with lean methodologies implementation, Six Sigma, and 5S practices.
- Experience with 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks and CREO, and 2D/3D layout tools such as AutoCAD.
- Experience with PLC logic, CNC programming, and manufacturing software.
- Experience with Warehousing and shipping modules in LN Infor.
