The Role

We are seeking a seasoned pre-sales professional with a strong history of guiding large enterprises towards becoming more data-driven. This position involves working closely with Account Executives to define and direct the technical strategy for our largest and most critical accounts, thereby increasing the use of our products and the adoption of machine learning and artificial intelligence.

Responsibilities

  • Work with 1-5 clients as the primary technical voice for Databricks
  • Lead customers through a transformative journey, assisting them in evaluating and adopting Databricks as part of their strategic plans
  • Implement the technical strategy in the account, ensuring alignment with the overall strategy
  • Build a network of technical advocates within the account
  • Align technical strategies around Databricks solutions
  • Provide structured mentorship to other team members

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in large (> $1m ARR) retail and consumer packaged goods (CPG) related businesses
  • 3+ years of pre-sales experience or supporting sales activities
  • Technical expertise in big data, data science, and cloud technologies
  • Experience in data-driven business transformation and driving change with data
  • 3+ years of experience designing and implementing big data technologies such as Hadoop, NoSQL, MPP, OLTP, and OLAP, or full lifecycle data science solutions
  • Experience maintaining and extending production data systems to meet evolving customer needs
  • Production-level programming experience in Python, R, Scala, or Java
  • Nice to have: Databricks certification
