The Role

We are seeking an experienced pre-sales professional with a strong history of helping large enterprises leverage data and artificial intelligence effectively. This role involves defining and directing the technical strategy for our largest and most critical accounts, driving broader adoption of our products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Account Executives to define and execute technical strategies for key accounts
  • Lead customer transformations, guiding them through the evaluation and adoption process of Databricks
  • Implement and manage technical strategies aligned with the overall account strategy
  • Build and foster a community of technical champions within the account
  • Align technical strategies around Databricks solutions
  • Mentor and guide other team members in technical aspects

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in large-scale (> $1m ARR) retail and consumer packaged goods (CPG) environments
  • 5+ years of pre-sales experience or supporting sales activities
  • Technical expertise in big data, data science, and cloud technologies
  • Experience in data-driven business transformation and driving change with data
  • 3+ years of experience with design and implementation of big data technologies like Hadoop, NoSQL, MPP, OLTP, OLAP, or full lifecycle data science solutions
  • Experience maintaining and evolving production data systems to meet complex customer needs
  • Programming experience in Python, R, Scala, or Java
  • Nice to have: Databricks certification

Pay

The pay range for this role is listed below and represents the expected salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are determined based on various factors including job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Databricks anticipates utilizing the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for an annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
