About the role
The Sr. Solutions Architect, EdTech, WWPS role involves helping customers implement innovative cloud computing solutions, solving technical problems, and providing strategic advice to EdTech companies. The position focuses on establishing AWS as a leading technology platform and working closely with the World Wide Public Sector practice.
Responsibilities
- Owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific projects
- Defining and designing architectures
- Developing a deep expertise in AWS technologies
- Providing exceptional technical design and thought leadership to the EdTech markets
- Leading efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solution architect community
Requirements
- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- Experience in a technical role within a sales organization
- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience (preferred)
- Experience working with end user or developer communities (preferred)
- Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies (preferred)
Qualifications
- Deep-dive technical discussions around design and an intellectual curiosity to always keep your technical skills current while maintaining a pulse on industry trends
Skills
- Technical presentation experience – White board, small and large group presentations
- Technical – Web Services development/deployment experience, cloud computing
- Operational – Web site/services operations, management, and security

Pay
Base salary range: $153,600.00 - $207,800.00 USD annually
