Sr. Solutions Architect, WWPS EdTech
About the role
The Sr. Solutions Architect, WWPS EdTech plays a crucial role in helping customers implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solving technical problems. They work closely with Education Technology companies to help them leverage Amazon's utility computing web services such as AWS EC2, AWS S3, AWS RDS, and AWS CloudFront.
Responsibilities
- Owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific projects
- Defining and designing architectures
- Developing a deep expertise in the AWS technologies
- Maintaining a broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform
- Being a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services
- Providing exceptional technical design and thought leadership to the EdTech markets for cloud computing
- Leading efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solution architect community
Requirements
- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- Experience in a technical role within a sales organization
- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
- Experience working with end user or developer communities
- Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
Qualifications
- Passionate about helping customers design and create cloud computing architectures
- Strategic Advisor mindset
Skills
- Technical presentation experience – White board, small and large group presentations
- Technical – Web Services development/deployment experience, cloud computing
- Operational – Web site/services operations, management, and security

Pay
Base salary range for this position is listed below. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
- USA, CA, San Francisco - 176,600.00 - 239,000.00 USD annually
- USA, CA, Santa Monica - 153,600.00 - 207,800.00 USD annually
- USA, TX, Austin - 153,600.00 - 207,800.00 USD annually
- USA, WA, Seattle - 153,600.00 - 207,800.00 USD annually
