About the role

The Sr. Solutions Architect, WWPS EdTech plays a crucial role in helping customers implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solving technical problems. They work closely with Education Technology companies to establish AWS as a leading technology platform.

Responsibilities

• Owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific projects
• Defining and designing architectures
• Developing a deep expertise in AWS technologies
• Maintaining a broad know-how around application and service construction using the AWS platform
• Being a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services
• Providing exceptional technical design and thought leadership to the EdTech markets for cloud computing
• Leading efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solution architect community
• Collaborating with a world-class sales and business development team

Requirements

• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
• Experience in a technical role within a sales organization
• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
• Experience working with end user or developer communities
• Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping customers design and create cloud computing architectures
• Strategic Advisor mindset

Skills

• Technical presentation experience – White board, small and large group presentations
• Technical – Web Services development/deployment experience, cloud computing
• Operational – Web site/services operations, management, and security

Pay

Base salary range: $153,600.00 - $207,800.00 USD annually

Schedule

Full-time position with occasional travel required (30%)
