About the Role
In this role within the Service Management team, you will support the development, enhancement, and implementation of global IT processes and procedures. You will coordinate the tracking, documentation, and lifecycle management of IT assets. You will work closely with procurement vendors to facilitate asset acquisition, replacement, and disposal while maintaining accurate inventory levels. Additionally, you will provide guidance to junior team members, prepare and deliver presentations, and contribute to establishing standards and workflows. This is a contract role that emphasizes operational, tactical activities, and problem resolution.
Responsibilities
- Oversee IT hardware assets throughout their lifecycle, including forecasting, procurement, and inventory management.
- Investigate, analyze, identify, and resolve issues related to asset management and governance.
- Collaborate with procurement vendors to ensure timely asset acquisition, replacement, and disposal.
- Maintain accurate inventory data to support IT projects and day-to-day operations.
- Support the development of standards, processes, and procedures within the department.
- Assist with problem-solving by applying advanced knowledge of industry best practices and company objectives.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to internal teams, stakeholders, and other IT departments.
- Escalate complex issues following established procedures and recommend effective solutions.
Requirements
- 3 or more years of experience in asset management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across IT teams.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and time-management abilities.
- Proven track record of managing IT hardware assets and vendor relationships.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting IT asset lifecycle management in a global or large enterprise environment.
- Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks or tools.
- Exposure to procurement processes and vendor negotiations.
Pay
$29.40 – $42.00 per hour
