Responsibilities
- Gathering and entering accurate information including record information and utilizing scheduling algorithms to ensure that a patient is scheduled accurately and timely.
- The Senior scheduling Coordinator, New Patient must cross cover all functions of Patient Access scheduling to develop a high level of understanding of multiple clinics outside of their assigned pod.
- Must act as a mentor/ resource and provide training to colleagues within the department.
- Serve as shadow for new hires and onboarding of all new team members.
Requirements
- Minimum Experience Required: HS Diploma/GED or equivalent, minimum of two (2) or more years' scheduling experience in a hospital, outpatient facility or physician office environment; with a total of at least three (3) years of scheduling and customer service experience required.
- Minimum of (2) years of Moffitt Patient Access scheduling experience required.
- Minimum of one (1) or more years' scheduling experience as a Moffitt Scheduling Coordinator, New Patient.
Qualifications
- Broad understanding of medical terminology required.
- Strong and agile computer skills required.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of Moffitt’s Electronic Health Record and Scheduling Systems including Cerner, Soarian, Power Chart, Zingtree and Trace.
Pay
Salary Range: $18.19 - $27.83
Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
