About the role

The Sr. Scheduler, T&D prepares, monitors, and updates fully resource- and cost-loaded schedules for projects of varying size and complexity. You will coordinate schedule data, track project progress, and partner with Project Managers to ensure on-time completion. The role also includes providing scheduling training to project teams and supporting colleagues as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Support project teams by preparing, monitoring, and updating resource- and cost-loaded construction schedules in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
  • Develop full Critical Path Method (CPM) logic-generated baseline schedules for projects and proposals.
  • Deliver frequent schedule updates, performance analysis, and reports (critical path, baseline vs. actual, look-ahead, milestone views).
  • Prepare summary and detail-level schedules.
  • Participate in all schedule reviews at Operations Review meetings.
  • Conduct schedule and Work-in-Progress (WIP) reviews.
  • Provide support and training in project and scheduling software to office and field staff.
  • Review lower-tier subcontractor schedule submittals (RFP, Baseline, Updates) and advise on concerns.
  • Evaluate schedule performance and recommend recovery strategies for delays or risks.
  • Identify opportunities to build collaborative relationships while focusing on business goals.
  • Analyze situations by gathering and organizing information, assessing cause-and-effect relationships, and recommending solutions.
  • Regular and predictable attendance at a Company-designated office or field location.
  • Understand and comply with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and industry-specific professional standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience scheduling construction projects in the electrical industry.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience utilizing Primavera P6.
  • Experience in transmission, distribution, substation, or renewable construction projects preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field required; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
  • CST (Certified Scheduling Technician) certification preferred.

Skills

  • Expert proficiency in creating, maintaining, and reporting schedules in Primavera P6.
  • Thorough knowledge of scheduling concepts, principles, and practices.
  • Expert knowledge in creating and maintaining project baselines for frequent updates.
  • Advanced knowledge of cost/resource loading and forecasting within scheduling software.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents (contracts, drawings).
  • Self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive self-starter with demonstrated initiative.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (MS Project, Excel).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Expertise in project management software and data analysis tools.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
