Sr. Program Manager - CNS
About the role
Join a team of development program professionals to manage and lead the Surveillance, Traffic, Aviation, Radars, and Radio (STARR) programs. The product line spans from Weather, Radar, Ground Proximity Warning Systems, Instrumented Landing Systems, Communication, Datalink and Navigation Radios, Transponders, Traffic Collision Avoidance Systems and Radar Altimeters. As a Sr. Program Manager, you will work under minimal supervision of the SBU PMO Leader.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage program management function and oversee program activities.
- Develop and implement program management strategies and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with program management standards and guidelines.
- Manage program performance metrics and reporting.
- Generate, implement program plans and business requirements within approved budget and schedule constraints.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management or related field.
- At least 5 years of work experience in program/project management.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Experience in a global organization.
- Minimum 1 year of experience of Agile Scheduling includes resource-loading critical path analysis.
- Strong Financial Acumen.
- Advanced knowledge of business concepts principles associated with project cost and forecasting.
- Strong working knowledge of Integrated Product Delivery & Support (IPDS) or similar.
- Proven excellence in effective communication, interactive and presentation skills.
- Ability to integrate complex concepts and information with program management systems and processes.
- Earned Value project and program management experience preferred.
- Proven track record of establishing procedures, best practices, and associated compliance.
- Experience with integrated avionics products and services programs.
- Excellent knowledge of FAA regulations - TSO, STC, and PMA processes.
- DO-178C and DO-254 knowledge.
- Leverage Lean Six Sigma experience.
- Willingness to raise standards each year to drive organizational excellence.
- Experience with Jira, MS Project and Office tools.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or related certification.

Benefits
The annual base salary range for this position in Minnesota is $166,000- $207,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
