Sr. Paralegal

Responsibilities

• Support pre-litigation and litigation matters, including legal holds, document collection and deadline tracking
• Lead and coordinate responses to law enforcement requests, including third-party subpoenas, search warrants, and liens
• Manage intake for the Legal team, including triaging the legal inbox, routing/escalating inquiries, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve open issues
• Maintain legal records and matter management tools to ensure database accuracy and generate operational reports
• Oversee vendor and outside counsel onboarding and fee arrangement tracking
• Maintain and update legal playbooks and SOPs to ensure consistent handling of recurring legal issues, leveraging AI and automation tools that improve efficiency
• Support regulatory compliance programs, including payments compliance and related initiatives
• Support responses to governmental or regulatory authorities; conduct research and prepare initial drafts as appropriate, and maintain a system for tracking deadlines
• Provide general support in other legal workstreams as needed, including subsidiary management, transactional matters, and other projects that align with Legal’s operational goals

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (paralegal certification is a plus)
• 4+ years of administrative and paralegal experience, at a law firm or in-house legal department (experience in a technology company, consumer e-commerce environment, or marketplace platform is a plus)
• Experience supporting litigation, law enforcement requests, and/or regulatory compliance matters
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to operate independently and exercise sound judgment
• Comfort using or piloting AI-based tools to improve efficiency
• A collaborative team player, willing to take on a broad range of matters as part of a lean legal team
