Sr. Manager, Digital Accounts, Order to Cash

About the role
If you are an experienced Order-To-Cash (OTC) leader who wants to deliver technical and process-oriented solutions within our regional center, this role involves:
- Leading the Digital and Royalty Stream AR team and ensuring operational tasks are completed as required. You will own and be responsible for invoices, collections, cash application, Revenue Assurance, and risk assessments.
- Playing an active role in cash forecasting, bad debt management, and liaising with various stakeholders within and outside the organization.
- Facilitating setup and tracking of new accounts and maintaining relationships with DSPs and licensing and sync partners for the Recorded Music and Publishing segments.
- Providing input and analysis relating to risk of Digital Accounts as needed and overall management of the Risk Review schedule and timeline for the Digital portfolio.
- Serving as primary contact for SSC Accounting, Legal, Finance, and Business Teams.
- Reviewing contracts for terms, advances, payments, reporting, and pricing for use in various tracking and reconciliation projects.
- Managing and tracking Invoice Advance/Guarantees, Formatting, and Prep Fees to ensure timely payment.
- Implementing, translating, and reviewing contractual language for royalty-related revenue stream customers and other partners.
- Accurately recording and reporting all digital revenues by media type and ensuring that all cash is properly applied and required triggers for revenue recognition are met.
- Leading and developing both internal and offshore resources.
- Assisting in preparing Cash Forecasts for significant revenue streams associated with our industry in partnership with FP&A.
- Preparing accruals for outstanding unprocessed or revised sales reporting files.
- Working with customers to resolve account discrepancies and collect any additional monies.
- Ensuring proper tracking of income for cash projection and application references.
- Overseeing daily cash reporting and other follow-up processes as needed.
- Managing preparation of invoices for pricing, manifest, suspense, compliance, and/or product code issues, when required.
- Developing efficient, innovative ways to streamline and improve processes around use and storage of data reported (e.g., Current List, Digital Income, and other Excel spreadsheets currently in use).
- Concentrating on cleanup activities while maintaining an eye on process improvement possibilities.
- Leading account review, cash forecast, and bad debt meetings with Corporate Controllership and Finance Shared Service Leadership.
- Facilitating monthly royalty payments for promotional funds, rights holders, and other internal payees as needed.
- Supporting the revenue recognition function where applicable.
- Owning and reviewing SOX controls established and operating over the Digital portfolio.
Requirements
- 10 years of progressive experience in Finance Operations, shared services, revenue recognition, accounts receivable, and related OTC processes or revenue accounting.
- Minimum of five years leading large teams including outsourced support resources.
- Deep expertise in SAP S/4 Hanna.
- Expert process knowledge of the sub-towers: Customer Master Data, Credit Management, Billing, Collections, Dispute Management, and Cash Application.
- Bachelor’s degree required (Finance preferred).
- Strong understanding of internal controls, data governance, and SOX compliance.
- Well-versed in data analytics with proficiency in BI software, Excel, or other tools to construct data matching models.
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep understanding of ASC 606 (US GAAP) and/or IFRS 15 (Revenue from contracts with Customers).
- Detailed understanding of Music Industry revenue streams.
- MBA in Finance.
- Working knowledge of Music Industry metadata on products, tracks, and other artist-related works.
