Sr Manager, AI Governance & Enablement
Job Overview
This role leads the team that makes adopting AI at T-Mobile fast, easy, and frictionless. This is a builder's role. You'll design the experiences and processes that let teams bring AI into their work quickly, with the guardrails handled in the background rather than in their way. You'll own the enterprise's front-door experience for AI — one simple path in, smart routing to the right partners, and enablement that helps teams move. Here, governance exists to accelerate adoption safely, not to slow it. Success looks like teams across T-Mobile shipping AI faster because the path is clear and the friction is gone.
Responsibilities
- Lead the team that runs the enterprise's AI enablement experience — a simple path that gets teams to "yes" quickly.
- Build frictionless intake and routing so requests reach the right partners without teams feeling the hand-offs.
- Turn standards into easy, self-service enablement that helps teams adopt AI.
- Remove blockers to AI adoption and keep simplifying the path.
- Build and maintain cross-functional partnerships with Legal, Cyber, SOX, Privacy, TPRM, and Procurement to ensure routing integrations land every AI request with the right approver.
- Mentor team members by providing coaching and career development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Oversee executive-level reporting inputs and measures dashboard contributions, including the monthly AI governance measures visible to Steering.
- Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed.
Education and Work Experience
- Bachelor's Degree and 7 years of related work experience OR a combination of education and experience deemed equivalent. Acceptable areas of study include Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Public Policy, or related field.
- 7-10+ years Strategy and Problem Solving. Experience in framing complex problems, identifying key issues that impact business decisions, and providing data-driven recommendations.
- 7-10+ years operating or standing up governance, compliance, risk management, or operational programs in a technology or regulated-industry environment.
- 4-7+ years Project management. Experience managing projects independently, engaging and getting buy-in from stakeholders, and creating roadmaps and project plans.
- 2-4+ years of managing teams of 5 or more resources in direct reporting relationships in an analytics, strategy, or project management organization.
- Experience working across Legal, Cyber, Compliance, or Procurement functions in a cross-functional routing or triage capacity; familiarity with AI regulatory frameworks (NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001, SOX) a plus.
