AI Governance Sr Manager

For our client, we are seeking a AI Governance Sr Manager to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space. This role will shape the enterprise approach to responsible AI by defining strategy, governance practices, and the capabilities needed to support safe and compliant AI adoption. You will partner closely with product, technology, legal, compliance, and business stakeholders to translate policy and regulatory needs into scalable platform features and operating processes. The position will also drive discovery, change management, and cross-functional delivery to mature AI governance across the organization. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $132,400 – $251,600 annually Responsibilities Define a multi-year AI governance strategy and roadmap Coordinate team delivery targets and cross-functional alignment Translate governance requirements into platform capabilities Conduct structured discovery with key stakeholders Support the maturation of AI governance processes and federated governance Oversee development of AI governance capabilities Collaborate to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements Embed responsible AI principles into tools and processes Support training, change management, and onboarding for teams Identify and manage risks associated with AI use cases Mentor team members and elevate governance skills Create and maintain governance playbooks Drive change management initiatives for responsible AI practices Qualifications University degree or equivalent experience with 10 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree plus 7 years of experience 8+ years in product management, data governance, or AI/ML governance leading cross-functional initiatives 5+ years with data platforms, governance tools, or enterprise AI capabilities 5+ years in AI/ML model lifecycle management with governance and risk assessments Experience translating legal and regulatory requirements into actionable product features 5+ years in Agile delivery and backlog management Benefits Parental leave, including paternal leave Flexible work schedules Achievement awards Educational assistance Child and adult backup care Comprehensive healthcare and wellness benefits Retirement and work/life benefits Career development and recognition programs Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
