Job Summary
Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Breast Center is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Mammographer to support full-time operations. The position involves 4 years of Mammography Tech experience, 4x10-hour shifts Monday through Friday (excluding Tuesdays) and one Saturday per month (from 7a-1:30p). Additional hours may be available but are not required. The position works at a newly renovated facility with 5 mammography rooms, 2 ultrasound rooms, and 1 DEXA room.

As a senior technologist, you will serve as a preceptor, mentor, and resource to staff, assist with supervisory responsibilities, and introduce and demonstrate new techniques to other technologists.
Responsibilities
- Performs mammography radiographic exams ensuring compliance with radiation safety procedures.
- Prepares patients for exams, explains procedures, administers contrast, positions patients, selects imaging techniques, and ensures technical quality of images.
- Maintains appropriate patient flow and ensures quality services in the imaging department.
- Acts as a resource and mentor to staff and less experienced technologists.
- Reviews incomplete exam lists and unsigned reports.
- Functions as a liaison between physicians, technologists, and department support staff.
- Enters and monitors patient data and health history relevant to the exam.
- Performs quality assurance on mammography equipment, recommends modifications, identifies and resolves equipment malfunctions.
- Maintains safety, environmental, and infection control procedures for the department.
- Schedules technologists to ensure appropriate staffing.
- Intervenes with patients to resolve complaints and issues.
- Takes emergency calls within the department.
- Ensures safe care to patients, staff, and visitors.
- Promotes professional growth and development.

Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
- Graduate of an approved program of Mammography Technology.
- Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT).
- Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R).
- Registered Mammography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-M).
- Four (4) years of prior experience as an Mammography Technologist.
- Demonstrates ability to perform quality control and stereotactic exams.
- Ability to lift and maneuver patients as necessary.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
The position is full-time, working 4x10-hour shifts Monday through Friday (excluding Tuesdays) and one Saturday per month (from 7a-1:30p). Additional hours may be available but are not required.
