About the role

Finding a Mammography Technologist at Wilcox Medical Center means joining a team dedicated to providing high-quality health care to the Kaua‘i community. This position plays a crucial role in the Imaging Services department, supporting the hospital's mission to empower women to take charge of their health.

Responsibilities

  • Performing screening and diagnostic mammographic procedures for evaluation by a physician.
  • Ensuring all procedures are performed according to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Communicating effectively with patients to ensure they understand the process and are comfortable during the procedure.
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed records of all mammograms and patient information.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements

  • Current Hawai‘i Radiologic Technologist license.
  • Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card.
  • Registered Mammography Technologist (RT)(M) with the ARRT (must obtain within one (1) year of hire).
  • One (1) year Radiologic Technologist experience.

Qualifications

  • Experience in mammography and radiologic technology.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.

Skills

  • Proficiency in mammography equipment and techniques.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Pay

The starting pay range for this position is $51.65 - $54.37 USD per hour.

Schedule

This position is part-time, working 8 hours per day.
