Responsibilities
- Prepares patients, ensuring proper positioning and compression techniques
- Maintains the highest safety standards while producing exceptional diagnostic images
- Verifies provider orders, evaluates image quality, and prepares comprehensive documentation for timely interpretation
- Combines technical expertise with compassionate patient care
- Supports patients during important healthcare journeys
Requirements
- National certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Licensure by the state regulatory agency as applicable
- Advance certification by accrediting body in Mammography within 18 months of hire
- BLS certification
Qualifications
- Competence in performing prescribed invasive/interventional procedures if applicable
- Ability to trouble shoot and notify appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance
- Safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors
- Confidentiality of all work information
- Efficient operation of workflow of the department
- Adequate inventory of supplies and materials to ensure non-interruption of services
