Sr. Internal Communications & SharePoint Content Specialist
Location: McLean, VA (Fully Onsite) | Duration: Contract to Hire
About the Role
Seeking a Senior Writer with strong corporate communications and organizational change management experience. This role focuses on internal content creation, SharePoint page development, and supporting enterprise change initiatives. The specialist will translate complex technology and business topics into concise, usable content for employees and leaders, supporting change and adoption efforts through messaging and enablement content.
Must have provable successful experience in internal or external communication; strong writing and editing skills; and the ability to independently research, evaluate, and summarize complex information with accuracy. The role requires intermediate to advanced SharePoint skills, basic video editing capabilities, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-moving, high-visibility, high-expectations environment.
Responsibilities
- Draft emails, intranet content, presentations, and job aids
- Build and update SharePoint pages
- Support change adoption communications
- Translate complex information for varied audiences
- Manage multiple concurrent deliverables
Requirements
- Strong writing and editing skills (corporate communications)
- Hands-on SharePoint page creation and design
- Publish-ready content as an independent contributor
- Organizational change management experience (ADKAR/OCM)
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Change management experience
- Strong operational coordination and logistics skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pay
$45–50/hour. The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
