Sr. Inside Sales Representative
About the role
The Sr. Inside Sales Representative drives qualified pipeline growth by identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospects in scientific and technical markets. This role blends sales development expertise with the ability to communicate complex technical solutions clearly and effectively. As a senior team member, you will mentor junior representatives, collaborate closely with sales and marketing, and provide customer-driven insights that influence product and go-to-market strategies.
Responsibilities
- Identify, research, and strategically target accounts in scientific, engineering, and advanced manufacturing sectors.
- Execute multi-channel outreach (calls, email, LinkedIn, events) and conduct advanced discovery to qualify technical prospects.
- Build, manage, and document a high-quality pipeline with accurate CRM records and strong data hygiene.
- Collaborate with marketing to shape campaigns, messaging, and technical content that resonates with specialized audiences.
- Provide structured market and competitive feedback to product and marketing teams.
- Partner with sales to ensure seamless handoff of qualified opportunities and support account planning.
- Deliver pre-call research, prospect intelligence, and insights that accelerate sales cycles.
- Mentor junior Inside Sales Representatives on technical communication, prospecting strategy, and best practices.
- Contribute to refining playbooks, outreach frameworks, and demand-generation processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of inside sales, sales development, or technical business development experience.
- Proven success generating pipeline in scientific, engineering, or advanced manufacturing markets.
- Strong ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales engagement tools.
- Experience executing multi-channel outreach strategies and conducting in-depth discovery conversations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to specialized audiences.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market signals and provide actionable insights.
- Experience collaborating with marketing, product, or technical teams on campaigns or content.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities, including mentoring or coaching junior team members.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a scientific instrumentation, biotech, or advanced manufacturing environment (e.g., RheoSense or similar).
Physical Requirements
- Frequent use of standard office equipment (computer, keyboard, mouse, telephone, copier, etc.).
- Production and office environment with daily administrative duties.
- Extended periods of sitting or standing at a desk with a computer.
- Occasional hand and eye coordination and fine manipulation.
- Light physical activity such as carrying marketing materials, product samples, or demonstration equipment (typically under 50 lbs.).

Pay Range
$85,000 - $95,000 per year
