About the Role

The Senior Human Resources Generalist works closely with the HR Manager to provide innovative people solutions addressing complex business issues, including talent development, organizational design, and strategic decision-making. This role is accountable for all HR components such as workforce planning, staffing, learning and development, compensation, benefits, performance assessment, and employee relations.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with leadership to develop, implement, and manage HR policies, programs, and services in areas like recruitment, retention, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Interface with all levels of the organization to coordinate and oversee HR activities.
  • Analyze situations, identify problems, and recommend or implement appropriate solutions.
  • Manage the recruiting process for both hourly and salary positions, including conducting orientations.
  • Prepare advanced reports using Excel or similar software (e.g., payroll reconciliation, labor costs, headcount, commissions, audits, turnover).
  • Maintain employee files and HR filing systems.
  • Prepare employee separation notices, conduct exit interviews, and handle related documentation.
  • Plan team-building events for employees.
  • Administer the employee performance evaluation process.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Create and send reminders and communications to employees on HR matters.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of company and personnel information.
  • Stay updated on employment laws and best practices, communicating these to management.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant human resources experience.
  • Knowledge of HR operations, administration, and recruiting strategies.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, for reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Assertive, able to cope with pressure, and a team player.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related business administration field.
  • Fluent in both verbal and written English and Spanish.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to stand and walk the production area throughout the workday.
  • Reaching, pushing, pulling, or lifting as required within company limits.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PHR certification.
  • Experience in high-volume recruiting.
