About the Role
This is a temporary 9-month contract assignment (with possible extension) providing casework coverage, focused on maintaining continuity and case quality. The role is hybrid, based in San Jose, CA (95110).
This opportunity allows you to collaborate with employees and managers during pivotal moments, offering mentorship and support. As a client-facing Senior HR Generalist, you will serve as a key resource for complex cases, including organizational changes, leave, and accommodation support, delivering clarity and care to employees when they need it most.
You will work with peers across the Employee Resource Center (ERC), leave vendors, and Employee Relations partners to resolve requests, manage HR cases, and drive scalable, high-quality support improvements. The ERC is part of the broader Scaled Delivery organization, dedicated to helping employees navigate their journey with every interaction.
Responsibilities
- Provide consultation and guidance to all organizational levels on sensitive work-related issues, such as organizational changes, accommodations, and leave-related policies.
- Triage and respond to questions from internal HR teams to collaborate on cases, assess options, and provide risk assessments.
- Lead the intake, triage, and resolution of complex HR inquiries with speed and empathy, aligning cross-functional resources to connect impacted individuals to the right support.
- Leverage case management systems to address employee needs efficiently, using reporting and insights to identify trends and inform strategies.
- Partner with collaborators such as Legal, Security, Employee Relations, and HRBPs, demonstrating effective communication at all levels.
- Foster continuous team enablement by providing updates on process and policy changes, equipping colleagues with clarity and confidence.
- Influence and contribute to process improvements that drive business scalability.
- Bring insight to and collaborate on projects that create impact across the organization.
Requirements
- Proven HR expertise with specialized knowledge in complex HR topics, including organizational changes, leave of absence programs, and interactive accommodation processes.
- Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities for complex cases, balancing compassion with firmness to navigate business challenges.
- Ability to manage a full caseload independently, meeting SLA timelines and maintaining audit-ready documentation.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in applying existing tools and workflows, and identifying process gaps or improvement ideas.
- Ability to work independently, make confident decisions, and deliver results in fast-paced environments while meeting deadlines and SLAs.
- Capacity to build trust and apply judgment in decision-making for cases and partner concerns.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred; 8+ years of HR experience preferred.

- Work Authorization: US Citizen or Green Card only.
Pay
$30.00/hr. to $35.21/hr. on W2.
