eCommerce Foundation team is looking for a solution-focused, organized, self-starter to join our Human Resources team as a Senior HR Business Partner supporting clients in the eCommerce Services (eCS) organization. eCS manages several aspects of the customer life cycle, including account creation and sign-in, shopping cart management, checkout, order processing, order history, and post-fulfillment actions such as refunds.

About the role

In this position, you will partner with leaders to develop and execute HR strategies that support organizational growth and foster people effectiveness. The Senior HR Business Partner must work independently, establish and execute long- and short-term people strategies, take a hands-on approach, and interface effectively with professionals at all levels. You’ll need excellent communication (verbal and written), professional interpersonal skills, and the ability to function in an innovative and ambiguous environment. Strong analytic skills are required to translate business plans and goals into the human resource capabilities needed to deliver results. You will help business leaders anticipate challenges with data-driven recommendations that improve performance, retention, and employee experience. This role also contributes to driving organizational initiatives and projects, such as workforce planning, organizational design, employee relations, and culture.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders to develop their talent strategy to support business growth while maintaining an engaging, respectful, and fun work environment.
  • Drive organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, talent management, and skills assessment and development.
  • Coach managers and leaders in career development, leadership, and management practices.
  • Develop and implement people plans and solutions to deliver results and sustain a work environment where all employees can thrive and grow.
  • Analyze business metrics and recommend systemic improvements.
  • Lead talent reviews focused on succession planning, employee growth and development, and organizational health priorities.
  • Use data and organizational health metrics to make decisions and keep leadership informed.
  • Partner with the central HR organization to enable managers, address employee relations issues, and drive results.
  • Lead or contribute to cross-team and cross-organizational eCommerce Services projects and goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of human resources leadership experience.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects and initiatives.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring at the management level.
  • Experience with MS Office tools and HR Information Systems.
  • Experience delivering complex, data-driven recommendations to senior leaders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or above in Human Resources, Human Resources Management, Labor Relations, Business/Management, Psychology, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of HR specialist, HR generalist (e.g., HR Business Partner or HR Partner), HR manager, or HR program experience.
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive actionable insights at scale.
  • Experience assessing management and executive talent.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or experience in leadership work as an HR generalist, preferably in a high-tech environment.
  • Experience driving employee engagement.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in management and leadership development, organization development, learning and development, group facilitation, training, and training design.

Pay

Base salary range: $130,000.00 – $175,900.00 USD annually (Seattle, WA). Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
