Sr. GIS Solution Engineer - Public Safety

About the role

The Sr. GIS Solution Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting GIS solutions for public safety organizations. This role requires a deep understanding of GIS technologies and their integration into complex public safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement GIS solutions tailored to public safety needs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate GIS with other public safety systems
• Provide technical guidance and support to public safety agencies
• Conduct research on emerging GIS technologies and their applications in public safety
• Document project plans, procedures, and outcomes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geomatics, Computer Science, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in GIS development and implementation
• Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar
• Experience with public safety systems and protocols
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a relevant field preferred
• Experience working with public safety agencies
• Knowledge of public safety standards and regulations

• Strong knowledge of GIS concepts and methodologies
