About the role

Join a dynamic team at Esri where innovation meets impact. We are seeking a talented individual to join our GIS development team. This role involves working on cutting-edge projects that utilize advanced geospatial technologies to solve complex problems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain geospatial applications using ArcGIS API for JavaScript and other relevant frameworks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test geospatial solutions.
  • Contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of existing GIS software.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers.
  • Stay updated with the latest geospatial technologies and trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Geospatial Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in GIS development or a related field.
  • Experience with ArcGIS API for JavaScript and other relevant frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of geospatial data structures and algorithms.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript.

Qualifications

  • Experience with geospatial data analysis and visualization tools.
  • Knowledge of web mapping technologies and RESTful APIs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Skills

  • Geospatial programming skills.
  • Experience with geospatial data management and analysis.
  • Understanding of geospatial data models and spatial databases.
  • Knowledge of geospatial data formats such as GeoJSON, KML, and Shapefiles.
