About the role

We are seeking a Senior Executive Director (Sr. ED) in Dallas, TX, to achieve multimillion-dollar revenue and program goals. This office-based position reports to the Region Senior Vice President of Development for the North Texas Territory. The Sr. ED will provide inspirational leadership, mentorship, and guidance to implement effective programs in community service, education, development, and communications. The role involves driving revenue, ensuring community impact, and collaborating with staff and volunteers to reach market potential. The office is located in Irving, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Provide transformational leadership and strategic direction for the organization, developing and communicating its mission, values, and goals.
  • Supervise day-to-day operations and ensure efficient functioning of the Dallas market, collaborating with staff to maintain high-performance standards.
  • Work alongside senior leadership to manage campaign operations and financial statements.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for revenue generation and volunteer recruitment.
  • Create and execute fundraising strategies to secure financial support for a $15M+ budget, including identifying and soliciting seven-figure gifts.
  • Grow the organization’s footprint through corporate and healthcare channels.
  • Manage the market’s budget and financial resources, ensuring fiscal responsibility.
  • Work with volunteers to recruit and build strong pipelines supporting future growth.
  • Collaborate with the board of directors, providing updates and assisting in the recruitment and orientation of new members.
  • Identify and develop campaign leadership to grow their support as future legacy leaders.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including donors, volunteers, and community partners.
  • Represent the organization in the community and at public events.
  • Stay informed about trends and best practices in nonprofit management.
  • Encourage professional development opportunities for staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in health education, administration, business/marketing, social science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience (highly preferred).
  • Minimum of 8 years of work experience in fundraising or outside sales, preferably with a voluntary health agency.
  • Experience in closing six-figure and up gifts is required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of management experience, with expertise in mentoring and developing staff.
  • Proficiency in establishing and implementing strategic plans across functional areas in a complex and dynamic environment.
  • Strong ability to interpret, analyze, and synthesize goals and fundraising reports, with proficiency in spreadsheet and database analysis tools.
  • Ability to delegate and accomplish goals through volunteers.
  • Proven background and willingness to work in an atmosphere requiring flexibility, creativity, and adaptability.
  • Ability to travel locally approximately 75%; requires access to reliable transportation at all times.

Pay

We offer a base salary with the potential to earn an incentive of up to 25% of the base pay, based on achieving certain team revenue targets.
