Sr Engineering Technician - Vacuum Systems

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze data.
• Make a determination of failure mode, update databases and present test methodology as required.
• Implementing lab processes for equipment: scheduling, tracking, maintenance, calibration, and repair.
• Support common lab practices.
• Identify & recommend continuous improvement opportunities.
• Actively participate in Lab team goals and HOS activities.
• Assure compliance with established ETS processes.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in ultra-high vacuum operations.
• Familiar with vacuum equipment such as pumps, valves, and leak detectors.
• Ability to identify and diagnose root cause and resolution.
• Proficient in Word & Excel, including VBA.
• Proactive approach to troubleshooting unusual technical problems.
• Vacuum Technology Degree or willingness to complete core Vacuum Courses.
• Extensive experience with vacuum test equipment.
• Strong hand tool, equipment troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good working knowledge of engineering test process and principles.
• Proficient at reading and understanding electronic schematics and engineering specifications.
• Able to work independently, demonstrate high integrity and accountability.
• Clearly accepts responsibility for tasks and decisions, ensures clear objectives.
• Ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness.

Pay

The annual base salary range for this position is $59,200 - $74,000.
