Sr HVAC Technician - Engineering Mechanical

About the role

Install, maintain, and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment. Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, perform warranty services, and ensure environmentally sound disposal of refrigerants.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain HVAC and refrigeration operating systems used in the industry, including Roof Top Units, Building Management Systems, refrigeration equipment, chiller units, air handlers, and cooling towers.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on Medical Gas lines.
• Install, repair, and maintain piping (copper, Pex, screw pipe, PVC, CPVC, gas), duct work, ductless split systems, boilers (water & steam), and water source heat pump systems.
• Troubleshoot HVAC system issues using hand tools, testing equipment, and measuring devices.
• Comply with proper reclaiming procedures and environmentally sound disposal of refrigerants.
• Adhere to organizational procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications

• 3 years of general commercial HVAC experience.
• Valid CT Heating & Cooling, Medical Gas (MG-1 or MG-2), and Freon Recovery licensure.
• Ability to operate electronic devices and communicate effectively.
• Proficiency in brazing and soldering piping.
• Ability to work in crouching or standing positions for extended periods.
• Ability to work on ladders and scaffolding for long periods.
• Ability to work effectively in high locations.
